Alexey absolutely knows the TG-6 forwards and backwards. We did a shore dive where he had me shoot a variety of compositions, then critiqued them using his ledger. Very informative, and you are right in the moment with learning your settings.

I am so glad I asked the dive shop about UW photography and instruction. Alexey’s tutoring is a great springboard to understanding UW photography!

I had a great time taking a photography class from Mr.Alexey. He is very good not only at photography, but teaching others how to shoot photos also. From the classroom to the in water session he was very informative and patient. I would highly recommend working with him. I was very impressed with all that he was able to teach in one 1/2 day session. I’m looking forward to diving and learning more from him in the future.

Alexey’s work is phenomenal and speaks for itself but also his professionalism and getting the perfect shots wherever we are. This was the second trip that he has photographed us and this time it was with our kids, he made sure to get all the shots that will last us a lifetime of memories. He even took wonderful candid shots during our surface interval of the kids jumping and playing in the water. He does such an amazing job and I will definitely use him again on our next adventure.

This was the second time I’ve had Alexey come along and capture the dive with his camera. This time was different though. Between my wife and I and our friends, we had 7 new youth divers. Every time I turned around, Alexey was there with his camera. The pictures are absolutely beautiful! Alexey will definitely dive/photograph next time we come to visit!

Took the master class with Alexey two weeks ago at Roberta's Scuba Shack. I feel that I have alot more knowledge of how to capture the pictures i have been yearning for. He showed me proper settings, how to set up the angles for correct lightening and marco and wide angle situations. Alexey also recommended new lightening inon z330 strobes that I recently ordered and he gave me several sites where to find reasonably priced equipment. He is really patient and even shows you how you can edit your work to tweak its beauty. I plan to further my knowledge with him in my up coming visit.

In one of the Facebook forums, I came across a link to a book by a professional underwater photographer Alexey Zaytsev “Underwater photography, a practical guide”. I ordered the book from Moscow and the parcel was delivered to Israel quickly.
In the book I found answers to technical questions about shooting underwater and practical advice about composition. I keep it on the table near the computer, and every time before going diving, I study the necessary sections and after diving, postprocessing photos, I compare according to the book what was wrong and how it should have been done. In addition to the book, I get online advice from Alexey Zaytsev, which helps a lot to improve the result. Thank you!

Alexey taught me to shoot underwater. But he's multi-dimensional. He's mastered all aspects of photography, including shooting weddings, portraits and outdoor events. He's had a camera in his hand for decades. I strongly recommend him to capture memories for any important function or activity in life.
